What is Amasa?
The Amasa Run Trail Race is a three course trail race with courses that run 6.5, 9.5, and 15.5 miles in length. The courses are designed to loop from start to finish in the beautiful and majestic Moab back country along the Kane Creek Road and Colorado River. Choosing which course to run is a matter of skill level and endurance due to the various degrees of difficulty. No matter which trail you choose to run, you’re sure to be pleased with the outstanding views and challenges that will present themselves along the way. The race will be timed so bring your competitive nature with you. However, all participants will receive a t-shirt and finishers medal for crossing the finish line.
Competition in Moab runs high during the spring months. There are bike races, foot races, climbing competitions, river races, and off road vehicle safaris. But the big draw for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts this time of year has to be the scenery.
