Moab has a wide variety of trail options that range from an easy 2-wheel drive scenic drive to epic 4×4 back-country trails that challenge the most experienced of drivers. It is highly recommended that anyone attempting the trails around Moab area be knowledgeable and well-stocked regarding off-road safety requirements. In addition, much of the native soil is covered with a local native species known as the crypto-biotic crust. Please be mindful and always stay on designated trails, as this area is for all to enjoy.
Moab Jeep Safari
With annual events like Jeep Safari, it is easy to join the fun on sponsored group rides. The rest of the year, one can seek adventure solo on the network of 4×4 trails that span hundreds of miles of desert. Visitors are welcome to bring their own ATV or 4×4 vehicle, rent one, or book a tour with an experienced guide. Often the guides are chock-full of information about the geology and history of the area, making the trip a more enriching experience.
